Religious/Christian Recordings

Following WWII in the late 1940-1950s, a number of American movies had explicit religious influenced plots. Those and a variety of other religious influences throughout David's life were early shaping influences in his life. The religious recordings offered by TortoiseClimbing Audio™ flow from those influences.

  1. The first recording comes from David's senior year when his high school choral department put on a performance of John Stainer's The Crucifixion as their annual public performance.

  2. The second comes from a request of his mother for David to record an album of his mother's and father's favorite traditional hymns and songs.

  3. The third is a song written by his 1st cousin once removed, as a funeral tribute for her grandmother, David's mother's sister. Ms. Haupt wrote that song following her grandmother's sudden death, while Ms. Haupt was living with David's parents and working as the youth minister for their church.
