Matt Treacy
Cello, Phase II

Matt is a native West Virginian from Huntington, WV.

He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 2008 with a BA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. He also picked up skills playing the cello and guitar.

Note. Hampden–Sydney College was founded in 1775, is the oldest privately chartered college in the southern United States, and is located in the town of Hampton-Sydney, VA. Google Map location

Immediately after graduation he started his music career in Richmond, as a session cellist, guitarist and singer for various studios in the area. He brought those skills to several hymns on Hymns and Songs of My Mother, and his cello solo/duet is the introduction to "Amazing Grace."

He currently lives and works in Ashland, Virginia, where he manages the nonprofit organization Free Jambalaya Inc., is the founder and chief audio-video engineer for them, and is a partner in the new venture, Cardinali Digital Media, which provides video editing services.
